About the Witches:

The Main Task and Purpose of the Witches is to dive deep into the Pale and find the source of it all. Find it and disrupt the spreading of the eerie fog. They fight the Evil, they look for the Source.

They posses no magic abilities, but rumored and feared by the people, as anything which comes and goes into the pale deemed dangerous and aversive to human nature.

The Story of Marie:

“ Strike first, before it’s too late. The quick-minded survive and prosper. ”

She worked in the fields, were born in the peasant family. Had a father who was not much kind to her, to say the least. Once upon a time, while her dad came back drunk after a long evening with his friends, he had a fight with his daughter. Marie had fiery character and never stood others people's whims, after dad tried to hit her, she stood her ground, but could not stay in the village for too long due to that. She was expelled from the village and left the family. Now lives far away in the outskirts hanging around local gang members. Outlaw with no allegiance to no one . Took on couple of pale creatures long ago and had couple of trophies from that time. 
After a long while she attracted the attention of the leader of the Witch guild and was invited in the Citadel to train and become one. They saw the potential in her and she seized the chance.
She became the talented wielder and would dive into the Pale to seek and hunt down the evil and protect the weak.
